It is suggested that everyone has a full dental examination every 6 months. This can include a consultation with the dentist as well as the practice dental hygienist. During this examination the dentist will check your gums for any signs of gum disease, check individual teeth for any signs of tooth decay and increasingly dentist will also check your jaw and mouth for early signs of mouth cancer. Dental examinations will also offer the opportunity to discuss your daily dental care routine and gain advice from the experts.
